Amid the current pandemic, the players are eager to back on the grounds at any cost to their comfort level. The English player Mark Wood is feeling the same hunger to play cricket once the normalcy prevails. Mark Wood was quoted saying that he team-mates are ready to play long stints away from their families once they get the chance.
"I'd be willing to do it," he said. "With being away on tour for long periods of time, you sort of get used to it. It would be very hard but as long as the environment's safe and my family are safe, and everybody else is safe I think I'd be willing to do it”, Mark Wood quoted.
Remember, ECB indicated that they will be willing to host 6 Test matches in a bio-secure environment in July-August. These Test matches will include series against West Indies and Pakistan. Moreover, ECB will prepare a lengthy squad of 25-30 players, if the things go as per plan.
