The right-handed batsman Imran Nazir made his debut for Pakistan in 1999. At the start of his career, the dynamic right-handed batsman impressed the cricketing world with his blistering gameplay. Imran played Test cricket for 3 years while he played 79 ODI matches between the period of 1999 to 2009. Since 2012, he has not played any International game for Pakistan.
In his 112 International matches, he scored 2,822 runs for the country. However, Imran is one of the players who can be given the tag of “unfulfilled talent”. The right-handed batsman had a roller-coaster ride in his career with injuries being the part and parcel of his life.
His lack of performances in the domestic cricket and battle with arthritis diminished his dream of making a comeback for Pakistan at the International level. At the age of 38, Imran still fancies his chances of playing some T20 cricket including the Pakistan Super League.
