Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan has emphasized that he and his English counterparts will not be taking any chances on the health and well-being of the players in order to make the Test and T20I series happen.
Pakistan is scheduled to tour England in late July for three Tests and three T20Is but the series is under threat of postponement in the light of the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Pakistan has not yet been given the green signal for the tour as recent developments are being taken into account and a host of factors will be under consideration by the PCB.
"The PCB will evaluate the players’ travel and accommodation plan that will be shared by the ECB. Speculation is rife that the tour would be converted to a four or five-match Test series but it will be premature to make a commitment about that at this stage, there will be more clarity after the conference call," Wasim said.
