Former Pakistani pace bowler Wasim Akram advised Jasprit Bumrah not to run for county cricket as it will burn a lot of energy out of him. Instead, Akram feels Bumrah should spend more time in first-class cricket where he will learn a lot.
“Cricket has become too much today. A guy like Jasprit Bumrah being a top bowler, I would suggest him to relax and not run after county cricket. Young players need to play more first-class cricket, from there they will learn bowling” - Akram said.
The Ahmedabad-based bowler has been an integral part of the Indian team in the recent past. His workload comprises playing all the three formats for India and his IPL stints with the Mumbai Indians.
