The trend of the gradual wipeout of international matches from the sporting calendar this summer has continued with the postponement of the ODI and T20I matches between Scotland and New Zealand. The two games were expected to be held on June 10 and 12 at The Grange in Edinburgh.
Similar announcements are anticipated for Scotland’s matches against Australia, Nepal and Namibia in June and July. Meanwhile, New Zealand’s limited-overs trip to Ireland has also been postponed, impacting the start of the inaugural ICC ODI League.
"We are obviously disappointed, but it was to be expected. We will work closely with New Zealand Cricket and look at opportunities in the future when they are next touring Europe," said Cricket Scotland chief executive Gus Mackay.
